■ A New International Art Exhibition begins its maiden trip. Its name: UNCONFINED which means without borders, without confines. First stop: Athens, the city from which the curator, organizer and artist Loretta Tsavaki comes, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Athens and the Cultural Organization of The Municipality of Athens. UNCONFINED will be presented at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens: “MELINA” (66 Iraklidon & Thessalonikis str.- Thissio), 7th-31st January 2009 (Tuesday-Friday : 9-13:00 & 17:00-21:00, Sunday 10-13:00). Artworks of 30 up-and-coming and also established artists from all over the world are being presented in order to offer the Greek public a global and at the same time, detailed image of the world’s artistic scene as it is modelled today.
■ The participant artists, most of them graduates, master graduates, professors and doctorate graduates of the Universities of Fine Arts of Greece and abroad, piece together their talent, knowledge and varied cultures and they call the wide public to meet the union of their own background with the different places-spaces they live and work.
■ 30% of the incomes of the Exhibition will be donated to the Voluntary Organization: “TO HAMOGELO TOU PEDIOU”
